Mitt Romney gave a commencement address at Liberty University over the weekend. K-Lo liked it, and folks in my email stream did too. She called it an important address about religious liberty.
Meh. In the sense that he gives unashamed public witness of his own faith and defends religious liberty and one man one woman marriage, it's a good thing. But in the sense that it is all only a statement of his own views and gives no marching orders, it's not much. Ok, religious liberty and marriage are important -- and what is he going to do about it and what should we?
What we have this week from the two presumptive party nominees is personal professions of faith backed by nothing. The President says he's "personally" for re-defining marriage. Mitt says he personally isn't.
So?
