Movie About The Moviegoer

Hey, cool! I had a Walker Percy obsession in college and still think Lost in the Cosmos is a work of genius. In one of its mordant thought experiments, earth's going to end by nuclear holocaust and you can live on Uranus somewhere with a colony of hip and aware cosmopolitan beautiful people with everything civilization has to offer or stick it out in a cave in Kentucky with the mutated remnant, and he makes you choose the remnant, all with no reference whatever to religion and while cracking you up. How does he do that?

Was pleased to find from the genealogy on the wall during a family reunion about ten years ago that he's a distant (very) cousin through my grandmother. Why that should be cool to me is inexplicable apart from the merest and most improbable vanity, but it's in my store of fun facts.
