The worst thing I've seen about it is that it's a film which gets the audience rooting for the brutal slaughter of the American military, which is a Hollywood first. Forgive me for not being shocked: Sex On A Boat was one of the worst movies ever made, technical accuracy notwithstanding.

However, the topic did allow nin to link to a worthwhile observation: When Will White People Stop Making Movies Like "Avatar"? which makes the trenchant point that white guilt movies are just another way for Boomers to talk about themselves.

Whites need to stop remaking the white guilt story, which is a sneaky way of turning every story about people of color into a story about being white.
