I know this is supposed to prove how ridiculous the notion of "death panels" is (because my liberal friends are sending it to me with collective "ah-hahs!"), but I find McCaughey utterly convincing and not even slightly hysterical in these clips. What Stewart says is not stupid, but he puts far too much faith in literal words on the page versus the code those words contain,
our actual practice this very instant, the
stated aims of the
bill's architects, and his utter disregard of legislative history and the incentives & penalties built into the bill.
