What A Noble Mind Is Here O'erthrown!

That's all I can think of in response to Prof. Kmiec's column about Notre Dame's invitation to Obama. Fr. Z fisks it here. I've nothing to add except to say how truly sad this makes me. There is an interesting case to be made for a different approach to pro-life politics, and it would be useful and instructive to have that debate; alas, Doug Kmiec will not be making it. He's just lost his faith is all. Here he compares Catholics defending life with the KKK and seriously argues that just because someone is alive doesn't mean we have to protect him.
