"All Iraqis Today Are Christians"

|
That headline being the words of a spokesman for the Iraqi Department of Interior as the Iraqi government threw its first ever public Christmas celebration. Gateway Pundit has vids and more --check out the comments of the Iraqi priest who was kidnapped last year.

It's clear the government is creating a civic occasion more than a religious one --they're promoting "reconciliation." Isn't it interesting that even Muslims turn to Christmas to promote peace? There's a Muslim woman in the video at GP's who talks about how much she loves the "lovely season of Christmas." As B16 said in the final Audience of the year,
Christmas is a universal feast. Even those who do not profess to be believers, in fact, can perceive in this annual Christian celebration something extraordinary and transcendent, something intimate that speaks to the heart. It is the feast that sings of the gift of life.
And some of us dare to be grumpy or "stressed" about it! For shame.
