Thirty-one of the 47 people so far named to transition or staff posts have ties to the Clinton administration, including all but one of the members of his 12-person Transition Advisory Board and both of his White House staff choices.The one silver lining I hoped for from Obama was the vanquishing of the Clintons. Ah well, what can we expect? as Mr. W. & I are always trying to explain to "purist" voters, when you vote for a candidate, you are also voting for a party and all of its operatives. So even if Obama himself were different, he has no option but to staff the 10,000 some political jobs with his party's actual activists.
