In terms of speaking to former presidents, I have spoken to all of them that are living. Obviously, President Clinton. I didn't want to get into a Nancy Reagan thing about, you know, doing any seances. (Laughter.)First of all, no it wasn't nasty. But it is a mistake. Nancy Reagan consulted an astrologist, allegedly, but it was Hillary Clinton who conducted seances. Not really, but she said she talked with Eleanor Roosevelt and Mahatma Gandhi, and the comedians turned it into seances.
I'm shocked no one remembers this: it was in Bob Woodward's book.
Update: And...cue the apology. That was decent of him, but unnecessary. Honestly.
