Just returned from our first political fundraiser of the season: for Keith Fimian, running in VA's 11th district --Tom Davis' old seat. Davis was such a squish and the district has been trending so leftward, everyone's written the seat off as a Dem pick-up. Until recently. Fimian's been running a strong campaign, and his opponent's negatives are so high, that there's an excellent chance he'll win. Current polls have him within two points. A Conservative pro-lifer in VA's 11th? That would be so yummy.
