Would They Would All Talk To Reporters Like This

|
I saw this the other day and forgot about it until Instapundit picked it up. How many times during election cycles has a debate moderator behaved like an ass or a reporter asked a stupid or biased question? And haven't you wished that for once the candidates wouldn't smile and feign respect for for the question? Another reason to like ol' Fred. First he put that snooty show-your-hands- but- don't- discuss moderator in her place. And then he talks like this to a reporter asking him to speculate about other campaigns and dirty tricks.

THOMPSON: I’m not gonna. I owe you nothing, frankly, in that regard and I’m not going to say anything more about it right now.
I don't know that it's good for his campaign, but it's delicious.

Update: different topic but same post title. Pajamas Media has put up the first three in its discussions of the war on jihadism with the GOP candidates. In vivida format, which would impress me if I knew what it meant. My man Fred shows a good command of the issues, but no specifics about what he'd do. The interviewers only ask him generalities --he gets none of the interesting questions about reeling in the State Dept. or the CIA that McCain & Giuliani get. I know it's in some sense his job to say something intriguing, but the interviewer should provoke a good discussion. So: Claudia Rosett for President! Curtsy: Powerline.
