Yesterday's WaPo proclaims: Hill Democrats Explore New Strategy On Iraq. Well, you know, when even Jack Murtha admits "the surge" has worked, even a Democrat has to move on.

House Democratic Caucus Chairman Rahm Emanuel (Ill.) is examining a new approach, releasing war funds in small increments, with further installments tied to specific performance measures for Iraq's politicians.

Force the Iraqi government to do U.S. bidding on a day to day basis and pull the rug out from under them if they fail to kowtow! Do these people listen to themselves? That's the very definition of imperialism, which is, you know, why they hate us, or so the Left has been telling me.
