What Does Nitwit Mean To You?

The single best thing we could do to improve our politics would be return to a debate format in which the moderator's sole job is to watch the clock. When we're talking about the future of the country, it's just as important to ask the right questions as it is to have good answers. I long for a debate in which the candidate gets to tell us what he thinks the right questions are --then lay out his vision for how to answer them-- and then his opponents can rebut. I am sick to death of witless, conventional anchor-questions (to say nothing of Chris Matthews). And as for the YouTube debate: spare us. The debate in which unserious people ask silly questions and we're supposed to think we've learned something.

What does Republican mean to you?

Harrumph. Let's just get Babs Walter to ask them all what kind of tree they'd be in the White House and be done. The one who answers American Chestnut gets my vote.
