Can She Bake A Cherry Pie?

|
'Tis a pity for you that I don't own a digital camera, so I can't show you what --though it is I who say it-- is certainly the world's most beautiful pie. Sour cherry. The crust is a succession of maple leaf cut outs, their edges curled slightly and turned golden brown, giving the impression of falling leaves, and the cherry juice bubbled up just so in various places. It's a work of art.

It has an apple twin --lattice crust, decorated with leaves of a different shape. Both for sale at the Fall Festival supporting the family center where I teach marriage and family stuff. Hard to part with, but we're making the sacrifice.
