And I just will make some statements more for the record based on what I heard from -- mainly from General Keane. As many of us -- there was only so much that you could take until we in fact had to leave the room for a while. So I think I am back and maybe can articulate some things -- after so much of the frustration of having to listen to what we listened to.You know, Nans, if we win, the troops still come home--faster, even.
Mr. W. & I were commenting last night that simply as a political calculus, the Dems are going to have to yield to Bush at this point. They may make a show of opposition, a la this from this morning (nothing Petraeus says can persuade us, says Charlie Rangel), but if they don't want Pres. Hillary or Obama to have to preside over a messy surrender & Iraqi killing fields, it's in their interest to let Bush clean up. So maybe we can all let out our breath for a few months. Unless the entire majority is as foolish as Rep. Nancy Boyda (D-KN).
