(On a serious note, I always wonder when someone is going to take John Paul the Great up on his invitation to the "purification of memory" for the new millennium --in which we mutually admit our cultural crimes, ask pardon, forgive and move on. So far the rest of the world's participation has amounted to, we agree, you were awful. But now it's us Catholics and these guys.)
