There was no doubt in my mind that once the process had run its course, the Prez wasn't going to let Libby serve time (in spite of all the folk who, angered over the immigration bill, were quick to decide Bush has no honor). Although I've previously taken the view that Libby was prosecuted for faulty memory, folks paying more attention have argued that he did lie. Since perjury is serious, this outcome seems just to me. The President lays it out just right, too.
Justice is the most important thing. But I can't help also loving the fact the President went and did this after all the MSM commentators have been telling us for months that he can't.
