I missed it that the controversial cantilevered skywalk that juts 70 feet out over the lip of the Grand Canyon opened in March. It's in a part of the park that used to be off-limits if you weren't Hualalai Indian. Now the tribe's inviting tourists.

Only five thin layers of glass stand between your feet and the abyss. A glass railing, 4 1/2 feet high, surrounds the skywalk. When the wind blows, you feel the sensation of flight. When the wind gusts, you can feel the skywalk gently sway.
Great photos: Kind of reminds me of being at Masada. In the sense that if anything goes wrong, there's not even the illusion of hope.
