Spitting Out The Poison

First Bishop Loverde of Arlington. Then bishops Finn & Naumann. Now Chaput the Great. Our bishops seem to have launched an anti-porn, pro-chastity crusade. The more remarkable since in light of the recent scandals, the obvious first retort will be, "Who are you bishops to tell us anything about chastity?" Maybe getting serious about filth is precisely fruit of the...ahem...chastening effect of the the scandal. Not that any of the men named above were involved; just that there seems to be a new courage in the bishops' teaching overall, which is refreshing.
