A title XI ruling that cheerleaders must cheer equally for boys and girls sports has had the effect of doubling the load for cheerleaders...so they're dropping out. That's not the beauty part, though. This is the beauty part:
a statewide group of physical education teachers in California called for cheerleaders to attend girls’ and boys’ games “in the same number, and with equal enthusiasm” as part of its five-year goals.Emphasis mine. How will they measure that do you suppose?
