Ambassadors from some of the countries that donate millions of dollars in aid to Nicaragua, including Sweden and Finland, wrote to the legislators this week urging them not to rush to approve the measure. Nicaragua is one of the poorest nations in the hemisphere and depends heavily on foreign aid.(I bet they don't speak out against the veil, though, even in their own countries.) The most interesting tidbit comes at the very end however.
