The town of Herndon, VA succeeded in throwing the bums out last night. A bellweather for November, I think. Further proof --if you needed any-- that the A.N.S.W.E.R. and La Raza types are hurting the cause of Hispanics who just want to be accepted here. You cannot run rough-shod over the law and citizen sensibilities and expect folks to stand for it. Which is a pity for any rational discussion of how much immigration we might need in the future or be able to handle for humanitarian purposes. Regressive economic policies created this problem in the first place. Now grand-standing politicians are exacerbating it --more or less forcing people into an us or them mentality.
