I was just reading in WaTi this morning that Hamas had yet to respond to Abbas' demand that they agree to abide by existing agreements with Israel before they can seat their parliament. Wait and see what happens before you write about it I said to myself. This afternoon I see Hamas has voted to strip Abbas of his powers. You want gridlock and quagmire? Right here.
P.S. Not to make light of the situation, but I think this might be a transcription error. In response to Israelis targeting jihadists, an angry Palestinian said:
God willing we are going to get revenge for the honorable bloodshed today.Uh, that would be the Israeli position, right: "honorable bloodshed?" Presumably this guy called for revenge against "honorable blood shed"?
