WaPo has a nice profile in Style this morning of a U. Md. Physics professor, Dick Berg, who's found a way to make Physics Phun. Since I attended these programs when I was in high school, and since Prof. Berg is a family friend, I can vouch for a story in WaPo being absolutely accurate (for once). If incomplete. If they'd wanted to, they could have mentioned his side career as a musician, directing the Paint Branch Pro Musica (I think that's what it was called) and the Go For Baroque Trio. And his talent on the piano, harpsichord, recorder and medieval krumhorn (which you have to hear to believe). (And don't tell U. Md. or WaPo, but he's a fiscal conservative.)
