If we follow Steyn to the Toynbeean future of Western demise, I'd just like to remind everyone that the cultural achievements of the West aren't likely to remain even as monuments to the past. Remember this?
As Scrooge asks the Ghost of Christmas Future, are these things that must be or things that may be? As a reminder, B16 thinks Toynbee may be right, but needn't be. I've posted this speech previously.
