I was going to comment on this MA Supreme Court ruling the other day, but time got away from me. The case is terrible --a little girl was beaten within an inch of her life by her step-dad, who subsequently sued to prevent her guardians from removing her feeding tube (because if she dies, he'll be tried for murder). The Court ruled against the stepfather, relying on medical assurances that she's in a persistent vegetative state, no hope for recovery. Except the day after the ruling, she started to wake up. Curtsy to The Corner.
