Happy Epiphany, rest of the Catholic world! Here in the U.S., we won't celebrate until Sunday. Which means this year we actually have a 13th & 14th Day of Christmas. So since the original 12 Days song was composed (Or not.) while the Church was being suppressed in Britain and each of the gifts is code for some article of faith (10 lords a-leaping being the 10 commandments, eg, because what do lords do? They command), what do we propose to sing on the next two days, Ladies and Gents? Thirteen grooms a grooming? (For Corinthians 1:13, the famous love chapter? But I am going to catch it from my crony for suggesting that, since it's not about romantic love); 14 genealogists researching? (for the 3 x 14 generations of the genealogy of Christ?). Nah, I got nuttin.'
