Just watched part I of the CBS biopic of JPG. It has to pass quickly over many things, but it's good. Mostly because they play it straight --no agenda. They even let young Fr. Wojtyla give a credible explanation of the theology of the body right on tv. Bowl me over. That, my friends, is the fruit of The Passion. At least some folks in Hollywood, upon discovering an untapped market, have been reminded that religious pics, even if you don't share the faith, are fun to film (don't tell me these folks didn't enjoy doing all those cathedral and conclave scenes).
