In Other Papal News

Check out Zenit's daily dispatch for today. There's more on the pope's call for a return to natural law that I posted on below. There's also an interesting story on the pope's remarks while receiving credentials from 11 new ambassadors. Of course he spoke about peace, but interestingly, although Zenit writes,
Echoing the Church's magisterium of the last decades, which has closely linked
peace and development. . .
in one segue, the pope doesn't seem to have said anything directly about development per se. No calls for first world nations to share resources or anything of that nature, which is kind of boilerplate for such occasions. Instead Benedict focused on young people, the family, and the cultivation of the religious sense as the means to peace. Perhaps I'm over-reading; I haven't checked out his entire remarks, just the Zenit account, but that seems like something of a new emphasis regarding the path to peace.
