Things have gotten so bad in France, Mssr. Chirac has apparently hired Jimmy Carter as his speech-writer. I originally intended this post merely as a riff on the word "malaise." But then I re-read Carter's famed "malaise" speech, and the similarities between Carter 1979 & Chirac 2005 are striking.
But where is the French Reagan to lead the way to "morning?"
