Feast of St. Andrew

|
Everything, or at any rate, many things you could possibly wish to know about St. Andrew the Apostle are available here. I have always loved the St. Andrew's novena prayer in preparation for Christmas. I think it's named for him only because of the proximity of Advent to his feast --the first Sunday of Advent is always the Sunday closest to St. Andrew, and St. Andrew's day is always the latest possible date for the beginning of Advent. Anyway, here's the prayer:

Hail and blessed be the hour and moment in which the Son of God was born of the most pure Virgin Mary, at midnight, in Bethlehem, in the piercing cold. In that hour vouchsafe, I beseech Thee, O my God, to hear my prayer and grant my desires [mention your request]through the merits of Our Saviour Jesus Christ, and of His most holy Mother. Amen.

And Zadok the Roman already has a St. Andrew's post, but since there are 8 Roman churches dedicated to St. Andrew, will he bring us pictures as well? (Hint, hint)
