Anyone know why? I confess I was ignorant of the fact that Mongolia threw off its Communist government in the late 1990s. Now it's a landlocked nation buying 80% of its energy from Russia and utterly dependent on a semi-legal "gray" market with China for its economy. Mongolia has been a big supporter of the war on terror, apparently. And, one Lefty blog has it, Bush is jealous that Rummy got a horse when he visited.
