Oh, and by the way, pay no attention to the Dems threatening to filibuster. Unless someone comes up with something truly damaging to Alito, it won't happen. How do I know? There are 55 Senate Republicans, 7 of whom sold the Prez out to become part of the 14 Band of Brothers. Russert and others among the Many Screeching Monkeys have been talking about the power of the 14. But it doesn't take convincing 14, it takes convincing two of the Republican 7. And we already have 'em. Lindsay Graham and Mike DeWine have already said they won't tolerate a filibuster of this nominee. With Cheney's vote, that means we either get Alito or we get a rules change, which gets us Alito. The end.
