Never Know Where He'll Turn Up

In lieu of the Angelus message, which isn't up yet, here's what I think is a nice little story about the Pope doing his own thing every now and again. Curtsy to Open Book.

(P.S. At least as I post this story, there's a picture attached captioned as if the Pope is attending a beatification. Maybe but I don't think so. B16 recently announced his policy of attending only canonizations, not beatifications, as a means of emphasizing the difference in character between the two events. Just a small example of why religion reporting isn't to be trusted.)
