I can't summon any outrage over the new Jodie Foster vehicle, Flight Plan: too silly, but it is revealing. WaPo says it's a pretty good suspense flick until the preposterous ending. Which is: it's not the Muslim Arabs who are the terrorists, it's the air marshal and a flight attendant. So, even though many Muslim Arabs admit they are terrorists and are proud of their activities (they release their own movies periodically), directors are afraid to actually ever portray any Arabs as such. Just remember that the next time some actress or director is congratulating himself for using "Art" to "speak truth to power."
