The Pope As Pastor

Read this article on some very interesting remarks B16 made about Catholics who divorce and remarry. Interesting on the topic, and interesting insight into the man.

UPDATE: Here's the Italian transcript of the Pope's address to a group of priests from which the article was drawn. It's remarkable, and if I find time maybe I'll try to translate (well, paraphrase) some of what he says. In the article linked above, by the way, there's an unfortunate translation. At one point B16 supposedly says "The pope is not a prophet." Of course, in Catholic teaching, yes he is --prophet, priest and king-- as is every Christian in some way. But what the pope actually said was that he wasn't a seer ("oracolo"), so don't get nervous that he's spouting heresy.
