I confess knowing next to nothing about painting, but I love Winslow Homer. Here's the W. Times write-up of the National Gallery's latest Homer exhibit. At right is just a sketch for the finished "Hound & Hunter," which your not-so-humble scribe hadn't the patience to hunt for on-line (my computer being somewhat primitive and downright ornery).
Does anyone else capture water so well?
